Advertise with Departmentofinternetsecurity

Our readers come here when something online looks wrong and they want a straight answer. Advertising that respects that moment is welcome.

Who reads Departmentofinternetsecurity

We’re a new publication, so we won’t quote traffic numbers we can’t back up. What we can tell you is who we write for: small-business owners and office managers, people at small law firms, medical and dental practices, accountants and nonprofits, remote workers and freelancers, parents, and older adults who get targeted by scams. Our home region is South Carolina’s Grand Strand, including Myrtle Beach and Conway, and our audience extends across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.

They read to solve a problem: check a suspicious message, lock down an account, or figure out whether a breach affects them. Ask us for current figures when you get in touch and we’ll share what our analytics actually show.

Formats

  • Leaderboard (728×90). Under the navigation and between article sections.
  • Square (300×250). In article bodies and at the top of sidebars.
  • Skyscraper (160×600). Sticky in the sidebar on desktop screens.
  • Sponsored briefings. Clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top and in the byline, written to our standards, and never disguised as editorial.

What we won’t run

No ads that imitate system warnings or fake virus alerts. No “your device is infected” scare creative. No products that promise to hack, track or monitor another person. No recovery services that charge scam victims upfront to get their money back, because that’s often a second scam.

Editorial independence

Advertisers don’t see articles before publication, can’t request changes, and don’t influence which products we mention. If we ever review a product from an advertiser, we’ll disclose the relationship at the top of the piece.
